This beautiful vintage Sapphire and Diamond cluster engagement ring is set with a central oval shaped Ceylon Sapphire in a bezel setting. There are 16 Brilliant Cut Diamonds set to the outer edge, each in a bezelled setting with a scalloped outer edge. There are two further Diamonds, one set to the top of each shoulder. There is a pretty pierced basket below leading to the 2mm band which features a central groove and shoulder details.

Made in 18ct Yellow Gold with a Platinum setting around the Diamonds and a Yellow Gold bezel to the Sapphire. There are faint stamps the outside of the band dictating that the ring may be French in origin.

The central oval Ceylon/ Sri Lankan Sapphire has been calculated in the setting and is estimated to weigh 1.45 Carat, measuring 8mm x 6mm. The Sapphire is a gorgeous deep Cornflower Blue colour.

The 16 outer Diamonds have been calculated to weigh 0.03 Carat each, totalling 0.48 Carat. With the two shoulder Diamonds the total Diamond weight is approximately 0.50 Carat. VS2 Clarity and G-H Colour.

The setting measures 14.5mm  x 11.5mm.
